Review of Falling Down (1993) by David R — 31 Mar 2010
Has a really weird feel to it that not only makes it intriguing, but also ends up making you root for D-FENS.
The only thing that ruins it (in my opinion) is the retiring cop's female friend. She's too happy and smily and seems completely out of place with the rest of the characters /situations (D-FENS, his wife, the cop's deranged wife, the crappy colleagues at the police station). When the bleakness gets inconsistent it seems a bit less 'edgy' and a bit more cheap-cop-TV-show.
