Review of Falling Down (1993) by Lisa R — 11 May 2010
I just watched this movie again. It is such a powerful tragedy and comment on society's ills. You almost feel as if you should be rooting for Bill, but you realize that he is just unable to cope with the pain in his life.
And who would be able to handle what's happened to him in a calm manner? He gets divorced. He gets fired. He's unable to see or support his daughter. He lives with his mother who might be going senile.
He's just been pushed too far, and he takes his revenge on all that cross him with ill manners or irrationality.
