Review of Falling Down (1993) by Nolan P — 16 Feb 2011
A real nice effort from Michael Douglas and surprisingly strong direction from Schumacher make this a memorable everyman movie. Who cares what D-FENS' motivations are for going nuts? He just wants to go home, and he's bitter as all Hell, and the world sucks.
Just leave him the fuck alone! His sojourn across L.A. is cynically entertaining and suspensefully unpredictable. If you want, you can even compare Douglas' and Duvall's characters! It makes for a nice respite from some of the violent mayhem.
