Probably, Falling Down is a topmost film which has discerned reality of American/Western hoi polloi.

Looking in to the story with a south Asian perspective, most of its problems emulated has tendency to an end with a crash landing. Poignant meltdown of human psychology due to Ignorance of basic human values, such as forgiveness in marriages has been portrayed by Douglas exceptionally. This phenomena been tested in the story with the character of Duvall and has a clear cut results with a lasting marriage of him means, acceptance and coherence to others attitudes.

Therefore, this film will be always an eye opener and stimulation for the oriental culture.
