Time is on my side.

Stylish? Yes. Creepy? Yes. Good? No... Just kidding, it's good.

The Story: A homicide detective tracks a killer that has the ability to move from one body to another. It's brilliant, it's a great idea from start to finish. It's stylish, fast paced and filled with everything that a good psychological thriller should have. The camera work is near flawless, and truly keeps the viewer involved in the film. The biggest problem I have with this film is that it uses sort of an abstract view, to show what the killer sees. It works for half of the film, but often times feels overused. This film is one of the better examples of how a cat and mouse scenario can really work.

The Cast: Denzel Washington, John Goodman... Denzel Washington is Detective John Hobbes, he takes care of his slow brother and son. He gives a powerful performance here, not necessarily his greatest role, but definitely one of his better ones. John Goodman, is Detective Jonesy, Hobbes' close friend and partner. Not the biggest role, but still a potent one. A solid performance is made by Goodman here, and a solid connection will be felt between him and the viewer. These two make for one hell of a pair. And even though you don't ever really see the villain here, you grow to know it as if it were a real person. That's something to write home about.

One to Five Scale: 4.

It's rare that you see a film this good. Powerful acting, great story, and a non-existent villain. Great stuff.

Tyler.
