Review of Fair Game (2010) by Chiek E — 18 Jul 2011
The brilliant Sean Penn gave a stirring performance but could not save this movie from being little flat. The theme is a serious one. Its about the abuse of power by the US government and the selective intelligence they subscribe to so as to further the agenda of the Presdient while cancelling out intelligence that points to the contrary.
We know now that the US soldiers found no WMD hoarded by Saddam. If Bush in 2002 knew what we know now, would he still declare war on Saddam. Does he regret the lives lost fighting that war? Why did he pardon those that worked for him but conspired to deceive him? Why isn't Dick Cheny in jail?
