Review of Fair Game (2010) by Scott W — 07 Jun 2013
It starts out very strong, as you get a look into the world of the CIA and how they are trying to fight the war on terror very early on. After having just watched Zero Dark Thirty, it was interesting to compare the state of intelligence gathering in 2003 and in 2011.
I do think the movie loses its edge a bit towards the end, as it just focuses on the marriage between Valerie and Joe. Other storylines like the other people at the CIA and the Iraqi scientists just kind of fall off the map.
I think the film may have a little bit too much of an agenda, but it does bring up interesting questions about the Bush administration. It's solid, just not as good as it could have been.
