Review of Failure to Launch (2006) by Nicholas L — 18 Jan 2009
The idea of a movie about parent trying to get their 35 years old son to move out of their house could be funny, but the execution is not. (well, unless we are talking about Italy, where most of their middle age sons still live with their Mammas; that is another type of comedy).
The only scene where I laugh aloud is the one WITHOUT the 2 lead actor/actress. Fortunately the movie is a very short one.
PS: Casting directors who think that Sarah Jessica Parker could act beyond her Sex and the city character ought to have their eyes checked. She has the same expression, same gestures, same vocal tone in all the movies she is involved in recent years.
