Performed live for American TV back in 2000, this Stephen Frears-directed version of the hyphenated Sidney Lumet classic is a cracking tale. With a star name in almost every role (including George Clooney, Richard Dreyfuss, Harvey Keitel and Brian Dennehy) this transfixes from beginning to end.
Black and white is beautiful.
