Lumet brings this tense, compelling Cold War drama to life. Great performances from Matthau and Fonda, not to mention an edge-of-your seat second act and shocking conclusion. Some may draw obvious parallels to Dr.
Strangelove, but this film does it in a serious manner and doesn't mess around with it.
