If you are a fan of Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove, then this film is a must see. Very similar plot, but on the complete opposite end of the spectrum in terms of the treatment of that plot. While Kubrick goes down the road of satire, Fail-Safe takes it all incredibly serious.
Amazing film, really. It was released after Dr. Strangelove and even now is almost completely overshadowed by it. Riveting and frighteningly relevant. Walter Matthau = the shit.
