Review of Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) by Katherine P — 08 May 2011
When it came out I was a little disappointed because it seemed to be aimed at steering the election, which it pretty much was, but for good reason.
Now that time's passed, I can understand the Cannes awards it won. It is well done, contains fascinating facts and footage, and it is a documentary about the most important world events of the decade and the secret ties in the government, and why Americans are being driven to fear so the government can invade elsewhere.
I've seen much more damning documentaries, though, about the media (Control Room), the war machine (Why We Fight), Bush and Cheney (CBC biographies) and such -- I think he could've thrown a couple more facts in, even quickly, to get full 5 star rating from me.
