Review of Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) by Ess D — 27 Oct 2010
After a second viewinng some 5 years later, this documentary seems somehow even more important than back in 2004. If I were a history teacher, I'd show this to teenagers as an example on the power of independent media, and how corruption and misuse of political power to one's benefit are still alive and well in democratic societies today.
Having since become a mother, Fahrenheit 9/11 touched me more deeply this time and I'm glad it did.
Here's what I wrote earlier:
The bit with the screen going black and then just the sound of the plane hitting the WTC was a very well done one. Otherwise this dokumentary is a good use of film and certainly not a waste of time for anyone.
