Review of Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) by Caiti S — 11 Sep 2011
Michael Moore's controversial documentries are my personal favourites to watch and definetly this one is the most controversial of them all. Farenheit 9/11 was playing on TV in re-runs over the weekend commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and I finally got to watch it.
What I love about all of Moore's documentries is that they challenge the audience to think about something differently; Americans have seen how terrorism and the war have affected politics and now Moore takes us behind the scenes and show us things we might not have known.
There were instances in the documentry that I didn't know happened or were true. After watching this, my views on politics and the war and such have been challenged and changed. Moore has shone a light on subjects that might not be discussed to the full extent and it really paints quite a different picture of politics and the war efforts in the United States.
I do wish that Moore made more on camera appearances in his films, except for right at the end. But his commentary is pithy and inciteful and the facts are all laid out for everyone to hear. Well done Michael Moore, another favourite is added to my growing list.
