Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Ian N — 31 Mar 2008
A little outdated, yet very affective film about a fireman, whose career involves burning books for the sake of oppressing society's independent thought, also falls in love with a bookworm. Drowning out imagination, developed through written word, and forcing alternate means of entertainment (television), believing that literature makes individuals depressed, tormented and/or any other negative word that describes human emotion.
Very artistic filmmaking, with some outstanding and impacting scenes. Highly recomend to fans of Equilibrium and Orwell's 1984.
