Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Jonny P — 19 Mar 2009
This is an incredibly unique story in which firemen create fires rather than extinguishing them. Ray Bradbury's story gazes into the future in which books are banned to prevent humans from having unique identities.
Though it is not as good as the movie Equilibrium, it still takes the same dark approach. Julie Christie, in both of her roles, is fantastic. She has some of the best eyes ever shown on the silver screen, and a wonderfully soothing voice.
You will enjoy the amazing transformation of Guy and very surprised by a clever ending. Though it is slow at times, this is a great story to experience! And don't forget the amazing musical scoring by Bernard Hermann!!!
