Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Carl W — 02 Jan 2010
I love Ray Bradbury so I decided to check out this film. It's amazing how far ahead of his time Bradbury was. The movie seems dated unless you think about it from the perspective of a person living in the fifties (when the book was written).
TV and technology used to brain wash the masses. Knowledge being controlled by the government via burning books and government controlled tv. This film makes you think about the importance of free media and literature in our culture and history.
I really thought it was worth staying up until after midnight to watch!
