Review of Fading Gigolo (2013) by Pourya E — 11 Aug 2014
An in between film between one of the Woody Allen buddy films that has a 70's feel the way it lovingly carasses NYC, and a Turturo riff on a Coens Judaism film centering on two cads looking for a way to make a quick and sustainable buck, and settling on a pimping service for lonely socialites in the city, not counting on Turturro falling for a foreboden one.
As one might suspect their is some great banter especially between the lead men, and good to see Vanessa Paradis as the girl who turns Turturros head, but film is a little to slight to carry all of the sum of its parts.
Worth a slight watch if anything.
