Review of Factotum (2005) by Michael G — 05 Apr 2008
Bent Hamer's adaptation of Charles Bukowski's novel is a major disappointment. Matt Dillon is excellent in the leading role, but the film feels pasted together and it's difficult to be interested in a drifter who doesn't do much other than drink.
Bukowski's original novel is probably a better bet for people who like this sort of thing.
