Review of Factotum (2005) by Trevor G — 29 May 2008
Unfortunately I've never read any Bukowsky. I'd love to have had a better frame of reference to judge this movie by. It was a good movie.. and I wasn't expecting "Fear and Loathing" grade brilliance, but it seemed to fall a little flat.
The directing and cinematography seemed quality. I'm not sure about Dillon's performance, though. If he accurately portrayed the character, then the character could have used a little more flavor.
All in all, a good movie if you like weird non-Hollywood-esque movies about or inspired by weird and non-Hollywood authors and stories.
