One can never stop being fascinated by Andy Warhol and The Factory where art in all shapes came together. Where The Velvet Underground approached music in a whole new angle. Warhol seemed always to have a massive entourage around him. Part of that entourage was Edie Sedgwick, a socialite with both drug and mental problems. She became Warhols muse in this world of art, fashion, odd characters and all sorts of weirdness. "Factory Girl" focuses on her rise and fall within the Warhol crowd.

Unfortunately, this piece of film is so full of kliches, so so acting, bad wigs, partly crap casting (Jimmy Fallon?, Hayden Christensen?), so so camerawork and so so dialogue. Guy Pearce as Andy Warhol is good I reckon and Sienna Miller is not too bad. She is partly a lookalike of the real Edie as well. But, this is just not working. "Factory Girl" feels just as fabricated as a Brillo box and not "real" in any aspects, except the fact it is based on real events and people. I feel very little for Edie, a person which became a victim of her surroundings. Where is the true emotional touch? Watch a proper documentary about Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick instead of this so so movie.
