Review of Factory Girl (2006) by Renee D — 10 Feb 2008
While the story of the rise and fall of Edie Segwick and her relationship with Andy Warhol is sad and intriguing, this movie fails to look deeper than the silk screens and drug use. If the director had bothered to delve into the psychology of the protagonists, perhaps this would have been a more compelling film.
Also marring the film is the disgusting presence of Mary-Kate Olsen, Jimmy Fallon, and Hayden Christiansen, who have the combined acting skills of an aluminum can. An interesting film, but definitely one I would not see again.
