Review of Factory Girl (2006) by Kurt N — 11 Jun 2008
It's my belief that the screenwriters included every bit of information they downloaded from wikipedia or via interviews from people who shot up with Edie Sedgwick in the 60s. They even gave unwarranted airtime to a character (based on a real person) who has no affect on the plot due to (I swear) an under-the-table deal for information.
I assume they felt that the more asinine anecdotes put on screen, the more legitimate the project. The actress who portrays Nico issues a distracting caricature performance. Guy Pearce was good, and viewers may ascertain that Sienna Miller is noteworthy for events not including Jude Law's nanny indiscretions or errand-running attire.
All in all, the trailor was more satisfying.
