Review of Factory Girl (2006) by David Ray G — 15 Aug 2008
I didn't have many expectations out of this movie. But it was good, actually. The direction was unconventional and the storyline gripping interesting, but what makes this movie are the performances.
Sienna Miller, whose acting skills I doubt quite a lot, was actually somewhat above pretty decent and Hayden Christensen, who has also given us reasons to doubt his talent, shines through in the role of a young Bob Dylan.
But the actor most worth mentioning in this case is Guy Pearce, who personally blew me away in the role of Andy Warhol. Congratulations to Pearce, because I hadn't seen him acting so great since "Memento.
" A good, totally indie film that deserves some attention.
