Review of Factory Girl (2006) by Chris G — 23 Aug 2008
Hickenlooper decides not to present an unbiased, observational biographical feature, instead going for a good-guy/bad-guy story. I would have appreciated far more fact, and less generated "interesting bits".
(I mean seriously, The Musician???) Still, some Andy is better than no Andy. Guy Pierce is delightfully eccentric, minor characters like Nico look great. My annoyance is with the director (and the teen heart-throb Christensen leaves a slimy feeling).
