Review of Factory Girl (2006) by Adélia J — 28 Nov 2008
This is uninspired, vapid filmmaking...Factory Girl is ugly and shallow, sloppy in its storytelling and structure, and really has nothing to say about Edie Sedgwick or her life. Hayden Christensen's Bob Dylan character might be the movie's greatest sin: he is criminally underwritten and terribly played by Christensen, although I guess the actor didn't have much to work with.
Redeeming values: Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce, who at least try, and do have good performances.
