Review of Factory Girl (2006) by C B — 05 Jan 2009
My biggest problem with this movie was Hayden Christensen. Even though Dylan didn't sign the rights to have his name used, Christensen's character was so obviously supposed to be him. This might have worked, except for the fact(s) that A) Mr.
Christensen is too concerned with looking suave and seeming debonair to ever be fully in character (He may have gotten away with this for Skywalker, but dare I say we're back on Earth and no longer on planet Naboo.
) and B) Mr. Christensen looks like a damn IDIOT with a cigarette (and I say again.. his character is Bob Dylan) Other than that fiasco of a casting-job, there are a few more issues that make this a shaky piece of cinema.
The accuracy is iffy..Surprise surprise. Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce were very good, though.
