Review of Facing the Giants (2006) by Karrie V — 12 May 2012
I can't remember being so upset by a movie because of how crappy it was in quite a while. After watching this movie, I was mad at everyone in the room I watched it with; I was mad at all the people who recommended it or ever liked it.
Not only was were the actors horrible (I probably could have been the lead), but the overall message was unforgivable. The overall message: Read the Bible, pray, and then you will succeed in your job, your troubles will leave you, you'll probably get rich, or get new cars, and if you are trying to have a baby and haven't been able to, guess what, you're now getting one.
This movie goes one step away from using God as a Genuine. Goodness, maybe the Cubs should watch this movie, and pray a little bit more, then maybe they will get a World Series. What a stupid movie.
