Review of Face/Off (1997) by Michael H — 14 Jun 2012
A movie with bad acting and a poor screenplay. But that doesn't mean this movie is bad. Face/Off opens with a odd scene of a guy groping a nun's ass. Ok... This guy is Castor Troy who is a criminal. After getting he is caught in a accident. Sean Archer, a man who has been trying to get him for years gets a surgery performed on him where he switches faces to find out where a time bomb he planted is. But after being arrested as Castor awakens from surgery, he disarms the bomb and is on the run. Archer escapes jail and is off to get him.
Face/off has a bunch of epic action scenes that are the best part of the entire film. You can see lots of effort went into all of the scenes. This movie is fun. Its a great try from John Woo.
88/100 B+.
