Brilliant action film while also being smart- this truly is a work of art. Face/Off was so excellently executed that there really is no way to fault such a masterpiece. A revolutionary film in both Nicolas Cage's and John Travolta's filmography, Face/Off can't be missed.

Featuring a unique yet simple story of cat and mouse, it begs the question of why no one had thought of it before. The film will trick you, when the characters switch identities on first viewings, it is more then likely that the viewer will forget they ever switched in the first place, it truly is genius cinema.

Even after repeat viewings it still blows me away of how great this is. We get the insane Cage moments and the eccentric Travolta and none of it feels out of place. Both stars are excellent at playing their double.

It looked good, sounded good had lots of smart moments and lots of action. The science in the film actually made sense, for what it is, considering how preposterous it was. They actually make it seem realistic.

Lots of John Woo shoot outs and beautiful set pieces. It also has moments where you show jut out of your seat. Highly, highly recommended.
