Not bad but not a great movie either. But you may see many critics underrating and criticizing this movie but it is not that bad. "F9" is very weird and somewhat different when compared to other installments of the franchise.

First of all the movie lacks originality and while watching we may even feel that we are actually watching a fantasy movie (As for example a car Installed with a rocket propulsion mechanism and made into a space shuttle).

Of course it's weird in many ways and there is a lot more like that. Other than that the movie is a decent enjoyable action thriller. Compared to the previous installments this one has a lot more actions and super cool chase sequences.

The actors also performed very well especially Tyrese Gibson and John Cena is certainly improving his acting skills with a decent performance in this movie. The movie also dogs into Dom(Vin Diesel) and his brother Jacob's (John Cena) past and it is also the direct continuation of "F8".

You should also better watch "F6" and "F7" to understand this movie better. The movie also contains a funny post credit scene for Deckard Shaw(Jason Statham). But one thing that this movie really misses is the absence of Officer Hobbs(Dwayne Johnson) who was a really great and important character in the series.

Other than that this movie is a great weekend ride and you would surely love it if you watch it simply as a movie and not as a Fast and the Furious movie.
