Review of F for Fake (1973) by Victoria W — 23 Jun 2007
Is it a documentary? Is it fiction? Is it original? Is it a hoax? More importantly: does it matter? Orson Welles impresses me, yet again, with a masterful film that made me reconsider how much does originality have to do with art.
A film that can be appreciated by anybody that's pretentious enough to have considered themselves an "artist" at some point - if we should be pretentious for calling ourselves that. Entirely brilliant.
