Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Angela C — 26 Feb 2009
Eyes Without a Face is the story of a doctor experimenting with tissue and organ transplants, particularly "plastic surgery" of the face, who is obsessed with repairing his formerly beautiful daughter's disfigured visage at all costs.
Nicely executed photography uses "noir" lightning and excellent composition. The performances are very good. quiet, yet powerful. Recommended viewing for horror fans and cinema students.
