Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Matt B — 12 Mar 2013
While there's plenty of talking, everything about this classed up precursor to today's torture porn screams silent movie. A perfect score, wonderfully spooky b&w direction, and appropriatly broad physical acting, all slightly sullied by unnecessary dialog and pacing that can't seem to make up its mind about what kind of movie it's servicing.
