Review of Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) by Alexandra W — 27 Jul 2010
** (out of four).
A pretty silly thriller that looks very dated today, but does reflect the time it was made nicely. The plot however, won?t hold up no matter when it was produced.
Faye Dunaway is Laura Mars, a fashion photographer in New York City. Her unique erotic chic photos are all the rage. A killer begins murdering people close to her and arranging their bodies to copy her photographs. Even worse is that Laura can actually see through the killers eyes at the time of the killings. The detective investigating the crimes (Tommy Lee Jones) takes a romantic interest in her as well.
It?s all pretty far-fetched and has several moments that will leave you rolling your eyes.
