Review of Eye in the Sky (2015) by Vart — 05 Aug 2016
A complex film about modern warfare. However it doesn't stick with you. The performances of Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman are fantastic but Aaron Paul steals the show from these two veteran actors. The oscar nominee actor Barkhad Abdi has a minor role in this film and it's a shame because he is a good actor.
The script is brilliant and it's purpose is to show you the casualties of war and how politicians, military men and civilians are affected from one decision only. The director manages to show you how these people are affected but his style is simple while the film progresses slowly causing the viewers in some parts to get bored.
And while the film has a complex ending it doesn't actually affects the viewer because of these boring parts on a large scale.
