Review of Eye in the Sky (2015) by Compi24 — 05 Apr 2016
Director Gavin Hood returns to the realm of the political with "Eye In The Sky," an interesting pseudo-docudrama where calculation and compassion collide. Featuring great, understated work from both Helen Mirren and the tragically late Alan Rickman, the film maneuvers gracefully betwixt multiple storylines, characters, and locales.
And, while the movie's second act may at times feel pedantic, it's all there to set up a truly haunting conclusion that lingers like a dense fog in the viewer's conscience. Really fine work here from everyone involved.
