Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Claire M — 31 Aug 2014
I have wanted to watch this for a while, but sensed it was a film that you had to be in the mood to watch, and I think I was right. All in all I thought it was a beautiful film. The film is based around Oskar, a child who almost definitely had Aspergers, and who has to deal with the grief of losing a father he was unbelievably close to.
It takes him on a journey which shows him snippets of other peoples lives and problems, and also that he can allow himself to become close to the other important people in his life. It is a bit of an emotional ride, but in my opinion one worth taking.
the cast are perfect, and the acting, even from Thomas Horn despite this being his debut to film.
