Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Frances H — 08 Oct 2012
Although critics have found major faults with this movie, many times I feel that they really don't understand real people, and the sentiments that motivate them. Personally, I found this film well acted and touching, especially since it deals with the subject of the loss of a parent and the love of parents and their children, which is a subject to which we can all relate. Thomas Horn is extraordinary and Max von.
Sydow proves that he can be a great actor without saying a word. Why does a movie have to be depressing or obtuse for a critic to like it?
