Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Sure it wasn't a great film and sure it didn't deserve and Best Picture nomination but this film has a heart in all the right places.
Plus its cast is excellent, though at times the kid didn't seem consistent in character. But I did like the movie and it had a great sense of mystery. Overall I think this would be a movie best suited for kids 7-13.
I could see myself loving this movie when I was young. Even though it has some tough material.
