Extremely loud and irritating boy who cannot shut his trap. The premise of a boy trying to connect with his dead father by artifacts left behind by the deceased is old because the original was Hugo, a far superior masterpiece by Martin Scorsese.
Hugo is a quiet version because he talks only when spoken to. Not like the loquacious Oskar who will talk you to death as he did to the poor grandfather. The Academy was mad to nominate this grating film for best picture.
