Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Rex A — 10 Oct 2013
I'm not usually one for pretentiously directed films, but I just can't dislike this movie. Thomas Horn, Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock are all beyond stunning in their performances. Mainly, though, this movie just looks good.
Almost every shot is pure cinematographical (word?) bliss. They're all constructed in a way that makes the narrative strike you that much more. Certainly surpasses the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer.
