Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Allison K — 19 Jan 2014

This movie has a very powerful story that is extremely relatable, and the acting is wonderful, especially from newcomer Thomas Horn. The style in which it was directed was very electric, and I enjoyed how it was formed.

However, I felt that there were quite a few unresolved plot elements that disrupted the story-telling a bit. The ending also felt rather shaky, and it felt like it didn't quite know where to end. Overall, the story was wonderfully powerful but the way it was told seemed all over the place, and not in the best way.
