Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Wesley W — 25 Jan 2014
I'm not sure why the critics (and even audiences) strongly disliked this movie. I thought it was extraordinarily powerful and moving. I also did not felt manipulated at all. It's a great film worth seeing, and despite addressing the heartwrenching tragedy of 9/11, this film tackles the event in a way that pays respect to the lives lost on that date.
It's really a great film about honoring the memories of those people. It also addresses the difficult theme of grief and how people learn to cope with losing the ones they lost and how they find the strength to be able to move on.
