Review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011) by Braden Y — 29 Jan 2015
In the movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Oskar Schell is trying to find a key left for him from his Dad. His father passed away in the 9/11 attack in the Twin Towers. That key and finding the lock meant everything to young Oskar Schell.
This is almost identical to the book that this movie is based off of. Oskar runs into many challenges, like facing his fear or meeting odd people. While there a many differences between the book and the movie, they both try to focus on one meaning; what it feels like when you lose someone or something that you were close to.
They did this by describing what Oskar did after he found out that his Dad was no longer going to be with him. Overall, this is a movie about someone trying to find something from someone who he loved.
