I have never really liked Brendan Fraser in any of his past films, however, I have always liked all Harrison Ford films so I thought this heart touching film would boost Brendan Fraser's review and it did.

He plays a loving dad who would do anything to help advance the research of Pompeii disease is to find a cure. He is a very smart business man and actually makes it happen...well not a cure but treatment.

I thought the drama factor could have been turned up a notch. I thought I would have cried during this film. And I really liked how Harrison's character is egotistical and a loose cannon, but in the end a nice guy who wants to help.

The ending is way too cheesy with the kids laughing, I would have rather they did some tests to show the treatment was successful. Overall, I was pleased with the movie and it was pretty cool that it was a true story.

The dad is actually in the movie. If you rent this one, watch the special featured to meet the real people. It's cool.
