Review of Extraordinary Measures (2010) by Avtar R — 01 Aug 2010
A good balanced film. Although this had the scope and the storyline to be a potential tear jerker throughout, the director has managed to bring in a great balance between the emotional side of the movie and the corporate functioning side.
A story of how far a father would go to save the lives of his children, and how he is able to strike an interesting friendship with a scientist on the verge of developing a cure. The beginning of the movie had me thinking that the acting was a little plastic, but at the end of it, I guess you either tend to neglect it and focus more on the events, or they just tend to get a little better.
Good movie on the whole, nice story. Based on true events, that always makes it a little more interesting. =).
