Review of Extraordinary Measures (2010) by Jo B — 06 Aug 2010
Tough call on this one. An amazing, powerful true story of a family's struggle and sacrifice to pursue an untested treatment for their otherwise terminally ill children.
I'm not sure Brendan Fraser was the right choice to play John Crowley, but Keri Russell gave a creditable and moving performance as his wife. Harrison Ford is a favourite of mine, but wasn't altogether a believable scientist, (although he had made a good job of understanding the science).
The behind the scenes, true story special features are awe inspiring.
Overall worth a watch, but not headed for my favourites list.
