Review of Extraordinary Measures (2010) by Sandra D — 27 Jun 2010
Made for TV movie somehow was released into theaters, a feat which baffles me since the movie did not have the material sustainable for theaterical release. This offered no depth, character development, was too cute and stayed away from any drama.
I didn't feel compelled to care about the characters or their situation. Half of the time the script was too scientific. Simply this movie could not carry a theaterical release, although Brendan Fraser tries his hardest but even I found myslef growing bored.
Yes some could argue its inspiring and simply a feel-good movie but I like for a film to earn my emotions not to have them taken by force because the subject calls for emotion. Good try but definately over-stepped its boundaries and simply wasn't strong enough.
