I honestly was pleasantly suprised with this film. I liked the all the bits of sublte humor that kept poping up here int here. Yes the impossible story is hard to chew, but that's why movies are made to make the impossible seem possible.

The performances faded in and out with touches of good here, and touches of not so good somwhere else. Harrison Ford is by far the best actor in this movie. Brendan Fraser, who I'm not really a fan of, is suprisingly descent in this movie. Kerri Russell plays Fraser's wife, but doesn't really do much. And all the child actors aren't actually terrible.

Tom Vaughan who directed this film hasn't really done much, and most of what he has done is television in some form or another. However I do think that he will be able to possibly make something truly descent someday.

Yes this film does try a little to hard at times, but it doesn't seem like it's preachy in any way. Maybe they were trying for an Oscar, and obviously it doesn't deserve one, but it at least deserves a rental, or watch if it's ever on television.

To sum it all up you have a film about parents trying to heal there childrens Muscular Dystraphy. They meet with Harrison Ford, do a lot of research to try and heal the kids.

I say it's pretty entertaining, and to some it maybe boring, but I have to admit I wound up being won over by it's charming and light hearted spirit. Rent it.
